Microbial growth forming after an appliance leak went unnoticed.

Water damage is a miserable thing. I think that's the bottom line when we talk about one of the worst things that could happen to a home in terms of home damage. But what implications happen after the damage is done? 

Usually there's an abundance of drywall damage, if it's gone through an appliance. The water may sneak without notice, therefore causing further damage by microbial growth. It takes only 24-48 hours for mold to form. Following water damage, you may notice a musty odor coming from carpets as well. Without proper care, the microbial growth problem will just further expand. This is why it's absolutely paramount that water damage is restored immediately. The longer you wait - the worse it gets!
