Water disasters at home can be doubly frustrating, because it can come from so many different sources, and almost all of them without warning.
It’s one of the most common types of home damage, and it happens an incredible 14,000 times a day in the United States alone. And if one of those 14,000 happens to be you, here’s what the process of cleanup and recovery will look like when you call SERVPRO.
Emergency Contact. Your SERVPRO expert will get some basic information from you to gain an understanding of what’s going on at your home, and we’ll figure out the best, nearest time we can come out in person and see for ourselves.
Inspection and Water Damage Assessment. Once we get to the scene of the damage, we’ll thoroughly check everything out and finalize the recovery plan. We’ll also make you aware of any damage the presents a hazard to you, and we’ll make you aware of items we see that may be too soaked to restore.
Water Removal. We’ve brought help, too, in the form of our super-powered pumps. We’ll put them to work, removing hundreds, potentially thousands, of gallons of water from your flooded or otherwise damaged home, and we’ll keep them going until every drop is gone.
Damaged Material Removal. We’ll lug away damaged items that can’t be restored, which will leave fewer soaked things around and expedite the drying process for the rest of the area.
Cleaning, Sanitizing and Deodorization. Many surfaces will need cleaning and scrubbing to remove stains, and certain kinds of flooding and water damage can introduce toxins and leave smells behind as well. None of it will stick around after we get through.
Drying. Now that the main water annoyance source is taken care of, we’ll thoroughly dry every surface and dehumidify the atmosphere to prevent the appearance of mold in your home and restore the balance of humidity inside.
Monitoring. We’ll be steadily watching and guiding the process, and your SERVPRO experts will be ready to make any necessary adjustments to strategy or equipment.
Repairs and Construction. The last step in the process is the one that lets us say we’ll make it look “Like it never even happened,” as we restore, rebuild and reconstruct until your home looks like it did in its preloss condition.
When water damage strikes, make the call to SERVPRO for A-to-Z cleanup and restoration. We’ll make your damaged property look “Like it never even happened.”
